Plus, safety is a concern when you don’t have your own wheels. Walking to the roadside after an event can make you an easy target for robbers. It’s like they know you’re vulnerable.
So, why do people risk the traffic nightmare and drive to these events? Well, for one, it beats the frustration of relying on other modes of transport. Also, there’s that added layer of security when you’re in your own ride.

Fluid Levels: Before you set off, take a moment to check your car’s vital fluids – oil, coolant, brake fluid, and even that windshield washer fluid. It’s like giving your car a mini spa treatment, making sure all its systems are in tip-top shape.
Tires: Picture this: cruising down the road with your friends, bumping to the latest jams and hyping yourself for the night’s concert, and suddenly, a flat tire decides to join the party. Lights: Faulty car lights is a huge NO, especially at night. A well-lit car is a safe car, especially with a lot of other drivers on the road during this festive season, some of whom may be under the influence of so many different substances which will blur their senses when navigating through the festive traffic.
Brakes: Brakes are the unsung heroes of the road. Give them some love by checking the pads, discs, and brake fluid to make sure you and your passengers are safe whenever you need the brakes to work. You don’t want your journey to end abruptly, unless it’s at the party!
Battery: Imagine dripping in your expensive clothes and sweating in front of an open car bonnet because your battery is faulty and your car cannot start. Big yawa! Make sure it’s up for the challenge by checking its health, terminals, and connections. After all, a charged-up battery is the life of the party.
5 PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT YOUR PRECIOUS RIDE
Parking in the right place. Choose parking spots that shine like the North Star. Opt for well-lit areas with security personnel, like the VIP section for your car. Official event lots or reputable garages are your car’s bodyguards against theft.
Anti-Theft. Give potential thieves a run for their money with anti-theft devices. Steering wheel locks, car alarms, and GPS trackers are like the bouncers at the car club – unwelcome guests, beware!
