President Akufo-Addo and his Spouse Rebecca have visited with the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu at his residence at Fadama in the Greater Accra Region to celebrate with him as the National Chief Imam turns 104.
President Akufo-Addo described the Chief Imam as a blessing to generations and his life as an example to many.
”On Sunday, 23rd April 2023, my beautiful Rebecca and I visited the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, at his residence in Fadama, to wish him a happy 104th birthday. By every measure, it is a blessed and privileged club”, the President noted.
According to President Akufo Addo, ”the National Chief Imam’s guidance of the Muslim flock in Ghana has been truly exemplary. Our country may well be the envy of the rest of the world, when it comes to the question of religious tolerance and peaceful co-existence. His leadership and contribution to this state of affairs have been exemplary”.
The President said a prayer for the Chief Imam.
“We continue to pray for the Almighty’s blessings of wisdom, good health, long life, and prosperity for him.”
