Following the resounding success of its debut edition, Roc Nation Sports International (RNSI) is proud to announce that youth football tournament, the Roc Cup, will return to Accra, Ghana, in March 2027.
The inaugural event, held in February of this year, marked a landmark moment for African youth football, drawing a host of interested followers and showcasing elite talent from across the continent.
Building on that momentum, the second edition – which will again see Benab FC serve as the host club – promises to be even bigger and better, further cementing its place as a premier fixture on the African youth sporting calendar.
While specific venues and the full roster of participating clubs will be revealed at a later date, RNSI confirms that the 2027 tournament will once again feature a selection of the highest-calibre youth teams from across the African continent.
The first Roc Cup brought together 10 elite academies from five nations, providing a high-stakes competitive environment that served as a vital bridge between African talent and global scouting networks.
The 2027 edition will continue to prioritise this European pathway, offering young players a visible platform to demonstrate their skills in front of international scouts and technical directors.
“The inaugural Roc Cup exceeded all expectations, not just in terms of the quality of football on the pitch, but in the way the local community in Accra embraced the event,” said Grant Veitch, Director of African Football Recruitment at Roc Nation Sports International.
“Confirming our return for 2027 is a testament to our long-term commitment to the continent. We are dedicated to making the second edition an even more impactful experience for all parties involved.”
The 2026 tournament was defined by its community-first approach, and the Roc Cup 2027 will double down on this mission, aiming to inspire the next generation of athletes while celebrating the vibrant culture and passion of African football.
Further details regarding the 2027 tournament format, participating teams and official partners will be shared in the coming months.
