It has come to the attention of many the actual and factual reason behind why Roni Nicol, the once upon a time Deputy Managing Director at the State Housing Company Limited, was relieved of his role.
The detail insiders say was because the gentleman lacked understanding, as well as was not having excellent leadership skills in practical duties at the helm of affairs.
The insiders who spoke exclusively to this paper, said he was not meeting target deadlines, understanding the philosophy, and basic understanding of the duties at the State Company.
Details of why he was out of office has been kept under the carpet by Roni, for all reasons best known to him, but insiders say it is best to let the public know that, his leadership skills, and understanding on governance duties falls shot of a person.
“Roni was shambolic and lacked understanding of his duties at the helm of affairs. He was not deeper into the operations of the State Company, he was not exhibiting quality leadership as well. His strategic plans and way forward for the proper functioning of duties was below belt. In short, the man was not well enhanced about matters of governance, and his experience level was also very low” a deep throat source revealed.
The source expressed shocked why the inexperienced personality on matters when he was at the Company is rather claiming to be well guided now on matters and insulating that, he has top rich understanding on governance. ,
It further noted, “I have personally seen and heard him claiming all over the place of his top rich understanding on government duties, somebody who didn’t know basic office duties is today talking as if he has ever been able to handle office duties before. It’s funny when I hear that commentary from him… It brings to the light someone who is not honest to people, and truthful also to himself”.

In a related development, delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ablekuma West have said that, they are not ready to give the party stronghold seat to a neophyte or test period in the hands of same Roni Nicol, who it has come to reality that his understanding on governance issue is low.
The decision by delegates are borne out of several factors which they consider and will inform their decision in tomorrow’s parliamentary elections.
According to them, Ablekuma West has come far with their incumbent Member of Parliament, adding that they have seen massive growth and development which they fear, could be destroyed should they made the mistake of choosing somebody else.
They averred that Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has been tried and tested, and she has proven to be an “achiever” and a “reliable personality” whose shoulders the fortunes of the constituency can rest.
The delegates said that Hon. Ursula Owusu Ekuful’s track record is unmatched and such young people coming up to contest her cannot match her in any way.
“We are not going to experiment on tomorrow. Saturday is for business and we are going to the primary with an informed position. We have considered what Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has done for Ablekuma West and we have also considered what Roni Nicol is claiming to have done in the constituency, and I can tell you that we are choosing experience over a beginner like Roni,” a delegate said.
According to the delegates, Roni Nicol will not and cannot be a better Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West and that the development which the constituents so much yearn for, have been delivered by Ursula with assurance and promise to do more.
“He claims he is well resourced, and experience, with the kind of work he claims he has done on the ground, which we cannot even see, giving him the opportunity to even contest on the ticket of the NPP means we are giving the seat out to the NDC.”
