The final funeral arrangements for the late Ghanaian fashion designer, Halimatu Sadia Sanusi, have been announced, according to details shared in a funeral flyer sighted by Ameyaw Debrah Media on her business page.

 

The 33-year-old designer, widely known for her luxury couture, bridal fashion, and bespoke African wear, will be laid in state on Friday, July 10, at the ICGC Christ Temple East. The gathering is expected to allow family members, loved ones, colleagues, and clients to pay their last respects.

A memorial and burial service will also be held in her honour to celebrate her life and the impact she made in the fashion industry. This will be followed by a private interment and subsequent final funeral rites.

A thanksgiving service is scheduled to take place at the same venue on Sunday, July 12. The attire for both events has been set as black.

Prior to the final rites, an all-white one-week remembrance vigil was held on June 24 at the Underbridge Annex. The event brought together family, colleagues, clients, and loved ones who shared tributes and sang songs in celebration of her life and work.

The late Halimatu Sadia Sanusi, who is remembered for her work in luxury fashion and her contribution to Ghana’s creative and design space passed away on June 14, 2026.
