Celebrated Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has been confirmed as one of the Ghanaian musicians who will perform at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Initially, there was confusion about Sarkodie performing at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony.
But the French Embassy in Ghana has clarified that the ‘Adonai’ rapper, along with King Promise and Darkovibes, will be performing at a special Ghana Day event within the African Fan Zone on August 10.
“I am also happy to inform you that on the 10th of August, it will be a full day dedicated to Ghana. Many Ghanaian artistes such as Sarkodie, King Promise and Darko Vibes will perform on the day,” a representative from the Embassy announced the exciting lineup at a press conference.
The Paris Olympics opening ceremony, featuring artists like Celine Dion and Dua Lipa, will occur on July 26, separate from the Fan Zone events.
This year’s ceremony promises a unique twist, taking place outside the stadium and broadcast on public screens for wider audience access.
