Former NFL star and sports broadcaster Shannon Sharpe is facing serious allegations from his ex-girlfriend, Michele Bundy Evans, who has accused him of sexual assault and intimidation during their relationship.
According to legal documents filed by Evans, the alleged incident occurred in 2010, during what she describes as a long-term relationship marked by coercion and fear.
Evans claims she attempted to file a restraining order at the time, but later withdrew it after receiving threats and experiencing what she describes as targeted harassment, including a mysterious visit from a stranger to her home.
Evans has since filed a defamation lawsuit, accusing Sharpe of using his public platforms to malign her character and discredit her claims. She also alleges that he conspired with others to reveal private information and orchestrate efforts to damage her reputation and livelihood.
Sharpe has denied all allegations, characterising them as baseless and opportunistic. His legal representatives have questioned the timing and motivation behind the claims. The matter comes amid separate accusations from another woman, adding further scrutiny to the public figure.
Sharpe has temporarily stepped away from his role at ESPN to address the situation, stating that he intends to vigorously defend his name and reputation
