Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale has announced plans to formally register members of his fan base, the Shatta Movement (SM), through a new membership initiative.
In a post shared on social media, the musician said the programme would allow supporters to be officially recognised through a system that captures their identity and personal details. Fans were directed to register through a dedicated online platform.
According to Shatta Wale, registered members will be eligible to receive a Gold Card membership upon payment of GH¢100. He said the card would provide access to what he described as premium services and benefits available around the world.
The announcement has generated mixed reactions online, with some supporters welcoming the move as a step towards strengthening the fan base, while others have raised questions about the registration process and the benefits attached to the membership package.
