Rap dragon, Sarkodie, born Michael Owusu Addo has disclosed that when it comes to his relationship with Shatta Wale, things are not the same as they appear on the surface.
Speaking in an interview with Kwame Dadzie and Doreen Avio on Hitz FM, Sarkodie made known his relationship with who many Ghanaians consider his enemy, Shatta Wale.
The rapper has said that if he does so well on singing these days, praises should be given to Shatta Wale.
According to Sarkodie, even though he has other colleagues in the music industry, Shatta Wale is someone that influenced him to do more of singing, instead of rapping.
Sarkodie shared how the response from Shatta Wale after he had sent him a song which he sang throughout helped boost his musical career.
According to him, “One person who pushes me to do more [singing] is Shatta Wale. When I did this one I sent it to him. Not only that there are about three of such songs I have recorded; one I sang throughout. But I was very uncomfortable with it because I will write it but putting it out is difficult for me to do. And that he said no, this is the next phase you should do”.
