British singer Jessie J has revealed she is now cancer-free, a year after publicly sharing her breast cancer diagnosis.

The 38-year-old announced the news on Instagram, saying she “sobbed for hours” before finally feeling able to “exhale for the first time in a year.”

The singer, whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, shared the update while attending a routine hospital check-up. In a video posted online, she admitted feeling nervous ahead of undergoing an MRI scan, joking about the discomfort of the procedure while remaining hopeful for positive results.

Jessie J first disclosed in June last year that she had been diagnosed with what she described as “early breast cancer.” At the time, she said she was focusing on the word “early” as a source of strength while undergoing several medical tests and treatment.

Despite her diagnosis, the “Price Tag” hitmaker continued performing, including an appearance at Capital’s Summertime Ball shortly before undergoing a mastectomy. She later returned to the stage at the Music Industry Trust Awards, where she reflected on how much her life had changed following her health battle.
