The annual Kenkey for the Needy event at Efua Sutherland Park will feature a unique twist this Saturday, August 2 with Six Degrees, a premium experiential marketing agency, introducing an innovative “Auction Wall” to amplify fundraising for the underprivileged.
Attendees can bid on exclusive souvenirs, with the highest bidders securing unique items while contributing to a noble cause, as all proceeds will support needy communities.
Six Degrees specialises in technical production, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions), project funding, and brand activations, having managed Kweku Smoke’s debut concert Revival, provided technical production for Guinness Accravaganza with Buzz Activate, and contributed to events like Detty Rave, Landfills2Landmarks conference, ITCON Ghana 2025, Power of You Festival, and Fidelity Bank’s “Rewind and Relive” event.
They collaborate with brands such as BOST, Lead for Ghana, Landfills2Landmarks, Elevate Network, Bank Hospital, Buzz Active, and Guinness.
Organised by Tata and Friends since 2013, Kenkey for the Needy has become a cherished tradition in Accra, drawing crowds to enjoy Ghana’s beloved kenkey while raising funds for charity.
The event transforms the park into a vibrant hub where attendees purchase kenkey, with all sales directly benefiting those in need.
This year’s edition promises an even greater impact with the addition of the Auction Wall, where participants can engage in friendly bidding wars for souvenirs, further boosting donations.
Beyond the kenkey sales and auction, the event fosters a festive atmosphere with tents hosting various food vendors, offering diverse culinary delights.
