Serbian trainer Slavko Matic has asked Hearts of Oak to offload goalkeeper Richard Atta, according to Accra-based Asempa FM.
Attah, 27, joined the Phobians from Elmina Sharks in December 2019 and has enjoyed some memorable moments at the club – earning Black Stars call-ups in the process.
However, his time as a Hearts of Oak player is gradually coming to an end as the new coach has asked the club’s hierarchy to get him off the squad list.
According to Enoch Worlanyo, Matic immediately put the former Elmina Sharks keeper on a diet to help him reduce his weight. But according to the broadcast journalist, the situation hasn’t improve and the tactician has asked the club do part ways with him.
Matic feels Attah cannot improve with his weight situation and sees him as unfit to be part of his squad.
The reports further claim that Matic asked the club to finalise his departure before he returns from his brief break from his native Serbia.
Hearts’ decision to part ways with the former Susubiribi Sporting Club guardian has nothing to do with the leaked audio of Richard Attah’s wife. In the audio, Joyce Attah revealed some deep happenings within the club.
