The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has commended the impressive quality of football in the Division One League following a match between Attram De Visser and Hohoe United at the Tuba Astroturf on Friday.
Adams, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for the Buem constituency, was accompanied by assistant Black Stars coach John Paintsil, a former Ghana international and experienced coach.
Well, its been a good game, Adams said after the game. I sat and was watching the game with the assistant coach of the senior national team, John Paintsil.Hes been a player and a coach before, so he was kind of running commentary as the game went on in the first half. We are impressed with the quality of play.”
He went on to highlight the competitive nature and technical quality of the Division One League, drawing comparisons with Ghanas top-tier competition.

The entertaining encounter ended with a narrow 1-0 win for the home team, Attram De Visser, much to the delight of the local supporters.
