Ghanaian dancehall musician Stonebwoy has responded to claims by fellow artiste Shatta Wale that he once looked up to him before gaining fame.
The Bhim Nation leader dismissed the comments, suggesting that the claims were untrue in a response shared on X. “The last time you saw me, you hugged me like an obsessed woman. Aren’t you tired of lying,” Stonebwoy wrote.
Shatta Wale made the comments during a recent appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast while discussing his past relationship with Stonebwoy. The dancehall star said Stonebwoy was once close to him and described him as a younger brother during the early stages of his career.
In a teaser from the podcast episode, Shatta Wale claimed Stonebwoy used to visit him at his first rented apartment and had a close bond with him before becoming a major figure in Ghana’s music industry. He said their relationship changed after Stonebwoy’s rise to fame and increased public comparisons between the two artistes.
