Ghanaian actor Emmanuel Nii Adom Quaye, known as Strika from the film “Beasts of No Nation,” has addressed allegations of theft that led to his dismissal from Dr Likee’s (Ras Nene) acting group.
Strika was accused by his mentor, Gunshot, of stealing a mobile phone and money, which resulted in his expulsion from the team.
In a live TikTok session, Strika refuted these claims, asserting that he did not steal any phone or money from Gunshot. He described the allegations as a smear campaign intended to tarnish his reputation and impede his career progress.
Strika emphasized his commitment to personal growth and his efforts to overcome past challenges, including substance abuse and homelessness.
The actor expressed his intention to share his side of the story through various media platforms, aiming to clear his name and provide transparency regarding the situation. He stated, “I’m from the streets. I grew up on the streets… It takes time, and I keep trying for myself. But still, they said I’d stolen a phone. That’s a lie.”
While Strika’s co-star of “Beast of No Nation” Abraham Attah is thriving in the US, Strika’s life seems to be going from bad to worse. Hopefully, he turns things around this year.
