A six-year-old boy named Pranay Teja died in the classroom at Little Garden School in Andhra Pradesh, India, after his teacher, identified as Anuradha, scolded and slapped him for not having done his homework.
Security cameras show how she slaps him on the cheek, and seconds later the boy goes still and collapses.
The other teachers tried to revive him and rushed him to King George Hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival, apparently due to a heart attack caused by panic and shock, although police are investigating whether there was any pre-existing condition and are awaiting the autopsy.
After seeing the video, the parents and relatives showed up furious in front of the school and the hospital, demanding justice against the teacher and the administration, while authorities have already opened an investigation into the case.
