Samartex coach Nurudeen Amadu has revealed that their recent Ghana Super Cup victory is a strategic part of their preparation for the upcoming CAF Champions League match against Raja on September 15th.

The reigning Ghana Premier League champions secured the Champion of Champions Cup after a thrilling 1-0 win over FA Cup holders Nsoatreman FC, with Emmanuel Mamah’s 70th-minute header proving decisive.

Amadu, speaking to Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com, emphasized the significance of the Super Cup in their preparations. “The 2023/24 league we have done well, but what is in front of us is big,” he said. “Securing the Cup is part of our preparations towards the match we are going to play on the 15th. Both teams did well, we played good football, and we have demonstrated that we are all champions.”

The coach also highlighted the importance of commitment, passion, and patience in their approach. “It is commitment and passion I have for the game. Sometimes it is not every day you get what you like, so if you have patience then you learn,” Amadu added. “What I will say also is that we are moving forward and you have to try to move forward and mature.”

With their Super Cup victory, Samartex has shown they are ready for the challenges ahead, particularly their highly anticipated clash with Raja in the CAF Champions League.
