Workers at China Mall in Tamale have embarked on a strike action to protest their horrific conditions of service.
According to the workers, despite being hired on a promise of 700 cedis a month, their take home ends up being 400 cedis or less.
According to their breakdown, despite their 700 cedis, they are deducted 200 cedis for social security.
Another 100 cedis is taken out to provide them uniforms, before assorted other deductions that can take the salary to a completely embarrassing level.
The workers say they’re now fed up and demanding action from management.
