Medeama’s 3-0 victory confirmed them as champions, while Tamale City were relegated to the second tier, ending their brief stint in the top flight.
Tamale City failed to secure the necessary points to stay afloat in their first season after promotion, leaving them with the daunting task of regrouping and aiming for a quick return.
On the same day, relegated Kotoku Royals and King Faisal had mixed results. Kotoku Royals were defeated at home by Karela United, while King Faisal defeated Real Tamale United.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak were able to avoid relegation by holding Berekum Chelsea to a goalless draw. The 21-time champions showed tenacity to secure the crucial point required to maintain their top-flight status.
