Abdul Fatawu Issahaku says his performance in Leicester City’s 5-0 win over Southampton is his best of the season, after grabbing a hat-trick and an assist on Tuesday night in the English Championship.
Issahaku has now been involved in 18 goal involvements for Leicester in the Championship (6 goals and 12 assists), and with four points clear at the top, Leicester look on the path to returning to the Premier League next season.
Speaking in a post match interview about his thrilling performance, Issahaku expressed his delight with his attacking output, indicating Leicester’s thrashing of Southampton as his game of the season.
“Yeah.. for the season, this is the best game so far for me and I’m so happy and I feel so good and it’s always good to play with Jamie and yeah I feel so amazing right now and we just keep going”.

The 20-year-old is now two goals away from hitting the 20 goal involvements mark in his first season in England, and his continuity at Leicester looks more likely by the day.
Issahaku is on loan from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon.
