Goalkeeper Thomas Kwabena Osae is set to make his move to FC AshantiGold a permanent one after spending the 2025/26 season on loan at the Obuasi-based club from Heart of Lions.The 23-year-old shot-stopper initially joined FC AshantiGold on a season-long loan in August 2025, a move that was confirmed by Heart of Lions at the time.Osae was sent out to gain valuable playing time and experience in the Division One League, and his performances have evidently convinced the club to secure his services on a permanent basis.During his loan spell, Osae impressed with his shot-stopping abilities and composure between the posts, featuring regularly for the Miners.He had previously established himself as a promising talent at Heart of Lions, even earning a Man of the Match award after a standout performance against Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.Heart of Lions, who confirmed his return from loan in May 2026, have now agreed to the permanent transfer, allowing Osae to begin a new chapter with FC AshantiGold. The deal is expected to be officially completed in the coming days.
