LONDON, ENGLAND – APRIL 12: Thomas Partey of Arsenal celebratesBlack Stars midfielder Thomas Partey has shared his excitement after scoring to earn Arsenal a point in their game against Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday at the Emirates. The Ghana international, who was deployed at the right back position by Mikel Arteta, finished off a quick counter attack which saw David Raya lay the ball for Declan Rice, who race from the back before finding Partey fire home the opener on the hour mark. The lead lasted for only 13 minutes after Congolese star Yoanne Wissa levelled for the Bees. Its something that we’ve been doing for a while now, Partey said about the goal. I’m lucky to be at that position at that time. But normally we have a lot of quick players who are always on the counter. I think it’s just something that we always do.Sometimes it’s the best part of the game to score. And I’m really happy to have a goal. Every player on the pitch wants to score from the back. It’s a great one for me personally to keep improving.Partey has netted four Premier League goals this season, his most prolific campaign since moving to England.
