Traders at Mallam Atta Market in Accra have declared their unflinching support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to continue the progress of the country.

Dr. Bawumia, who stormed the Mallam Atta Market Tuesday morning as part of his campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region, was giving a rousing reception by the traders.

The traders cheerfully welcomed Dr. Bawumia, hence endorsing his presidential bid.

Speaking to journalists during the visit, a number of the traders gave reasons why Dr. Bawumia is their preferred choice to lead Ghana.

Top on the list is the Free Senior High School policy which they noted has brought relief to them and their children.

“We voted for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP and we can say that it has been beneficial because our children have benefitted from Free SHS, so we want to continue with the progress with Bawumia”, a trader said.

Another trader stated; “My two children have benefitted from the Free SHS and I am voting for the NPP and Bawumia.”

A number of the traders also pointed out the inconsistencies of former President John Mahama and his NDC regarding the Free SHS.

“We cannot trust Mahama and the NDC with Free SHS and the future of our children because we know what they said about it in the past. That is their real intentions.”

Many of the traders also corroborated the good works of the New Patriotic Party towards the Mallam Attah Market saying “this market used to be very bad. And whenever it rained, it was very difficult for us. But now it has been developed with roads and all that. This is also another reason we will be voting for the NPP”.
