A driver lost his life shortly after being admitted at the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital in Mampong for treatment when he was extricated from an accident vehicle.
Firefighters from the Akropong Municipal Fire Station rescued the two casualties from a fatal accident at Asenema in the Okere District of the Eastern Region.
The victims were trapped in a Mercedes Benz DAF cargo truck, which had lost control while negotiating a curve on the Adukrom Hill.
After extricating the victims from the accident vehicle, they were transported by the Akropong Police MTTD to Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital at Mampong for treatment.
Unfortunately, the driver died shortly after admission.
