The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is calling on passport applicants to check the status of their travel documents following the return of several undelivered passports to Passport Application Centres (PACs) across the country.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. the Ministry explained that the development stems from efforts to enhance passport delivery services through a courier arrangement. Under the current system, passports not delivered to applicants within 21 days are returned to the PACs.

However, the Ministry revealed that a number of passports have remained unclaimed due to inaccurate addresses and contact information provided by applicants. As a result, several documents are currently being held at various centres nationwide.

Applicants who have not received any delivery notification have been urged to visit the PACs where they completed their biometric registration or contact the Passport Client Service Unit on 0302 754 200 to arrange collection.

The Ministry is encouraging the public to provide accurate details during the application process to ensure the efficient delivery of passports, and expressed appreciation for the continued cooperation of Ghanaians in this important exercise.
