Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed optimism about Ghanaian chef Failatu Abdul-Razak’s attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest solo cooking session.
Failatu is set to cook continuously from Monday, January 1, to Friday, January 5, 2024, aiming to surpass 120 hours. The current record, achieved by Alan Fisher from Ireland in 2023, stands at 119 hours and 57 minutes.
Failatu’s cooking marathon is unfolding at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale, attracting supporters eager to witness this remarkable feat.
In a Facebook comment on January 1, Vice-President Bawumia wished Failatu success in her endeavor, encouraging her to aim for gold in this record-breaking event.
“Faila, I wish you all the best in your attempt to set a new world record with your Cook-A-Thon. It is possible to break the record and set a new one. Go for gold Jah Bless.”
