The New Patriotic Party chairperson for the Cape Coast South Constituency, Nana Ama Sika Ahema, said the 12-year tenure of the incumbent Member of Parliament on the National Democratic Congress ticket, George Kweku Ricketts-Hagan, has been a total failure, accusing the MP of depriving the Constituency of the desired economic and infrastructural development.

She appealed to the electorate to punish Hon George Kweku Ricketts-Hagan for his abysmal performance by voting massively against him to usher in a new MP from the NPP side.

Madam Nana Ama Sika Ahema urged the constituents to vote for the NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia instead of the former president and flagbearer of the NDC John Dramani Mahama.

Nana Ahema spoke to News Ghana shortly after participating in a health walk organized by the NPP in Cape Coast. Nana Ahema noted that the current underdevelopment in the constituency was due to the incumbent MP’s incompetence and lack of interest in solving the constituents’ problems charging the electorates to reconsider their electoral decision and elect Ernest Arthur, the NPP parliamentary candidate and Cape Coast Mayor, in the upcoming national elections.
