Ghanaian singer-songwriter KiDi has offered insights into the decline in music consumption and streaming numbers, attributing it to the diminishing enjoyment factor in modern music production.
KiDi shared these observations during a press gathering held today in anticipation of his upcoming single, “Danger,” set to drop at midnight.
“Danger” marks his inaugural release of the year. KiDi further elaborated that prevailing harsh economic conditions have placed significant strains on individuals, causing them to prioritize necessities over entertainment pursuits.
“We’re draining the enjoyment from our music worldwide. We’re so focused on seeking attention and chasing hits that we’ve stripped away the joy of creating music. Additionally, many people are grappling with numerous hardships, causing entertainment to take a back seat.” he said .
