Debibi United head coach Isaac Nii Armah has set ambitious targets for the club after guiding the club to historic promotion to the Ghana Premier League.

The ‘United for Victory’ lads secured qualification to the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League after a brilliant 3-1 comeback victory over Tamale City FC at the Accra Sports Stadium.

A sensational first-half hat-trick from Kwadwo Antwi inspired the victory after Victor Kodom had given Tamale City the lead.

Following the historic achievement, coach Isaac Nii Armah expressed confidence that his side can compete strongly in the Ghana Premier League next season and even challenge for the title immediately after promotion.

“If possible we’re going to win the league next season. We want to repeat the history of Aduana,” Armah said after the game. “We want to be the second team to win the league immediately after our promotion to the Ghana League.”

The Debibi United trainer also praised the quality within his current squad, insisting many of his players already possess the level required for top-flight football.

“We have what it takes, we even have more than that. These players are Premier players and not Division One,” he stated.

Armah further revealed that only a few additions may be needed ahead of the new season. “We will just add few materials and we’re good to go,” he concluded confidently as celebrations continued after the club’s first-ever promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
