As Ghana inches closer to the most anticipated December general elections, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for West Gonja Municipality Karimu Musah Kusubari has called on residents across the Northern part of Ghana to eschew violence.

He said they should continue to live in peace and unity before, during, and after the 2024 elections.

“I want to use this platform to remind every one of us that the Presidential and Parliamentary Elections will take place on 7th December 2024 across the country,” he said.

The MCE cautioned against actions that could destabilize the nation.

“We only have one Ghana and one president at a time, and so we should not allow anyone to use us to foment troubles,”.

He called for a collective sense of responsibility and urged them to prioritize peace over partisanship.

“Let us put our love for one another ahead of any other thing and see our democracy grow from strength to strength,” he reinforced.
