Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has revealed that winning makes the club’s fans, technical staff, and players all happy.
The team was on a seven game winless streak before their last three games where they have won two and drew once.
Ogum was speaking after his ream recorded a 2-0 win over Legon Cities at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Ghana Premier League winner was full of praise for what winning football matches can mean to the supporters.
“Winning is what our teaming supporters always want. So once we win, they are happy and we are also happy,” Ogum told StarTimes.
Steven Mukwala gave Asante Kotoko the lead after 33 minutes when he converted from the spot following the awarding of a penalty that is up for debate.
Yussif Mohammed Nurudeen added the second for the home side just five minutes after the break from a scrappy finish. The game then ended with the 2-0 win for Kotoko.
The win means Asante Kotoko move up the table by two places, now sitting in ninth with 40 points after starting the day in eleventh.
