Chairman Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has appealed for decorum, love, peace and unity throughout the New Patriotic Party’s national electioneering campaign.

In a statement issued by Alf Marshall Agyapong, Chairman of Ireland (Dublin) and Lead of the Wontumi Global Diaspora Campaign Trail, on behalf of External Chargé d’Affaires Dr. Akwasi A. Acheampong, Wontumi stressed that there should be “no sentimentality” in the party’s campaign activities.

He called for equitable respect, dignity, integrity, fair and fact-based campaigning and canvassing among party members and contestants. He further urged party faithful, colleagues and competitors to encourage their supporters to refrain from the use of foul language, offensive commentaries and utterances that are berating, chastising or condescending in nature.

The statement said Wontumi and his supporters measure his leadership aspirations by what he is capable of doing for the party and the country, while others may judge him by his past achievements.

According to the statement, the NPP stalwart remains committed to promoting love, unity, understanding and peace in the interest of the party. It added that these values are essential to securing victory for the NPP and its 2028 flagbearer, .

The statement expressed confidence that cooler heads would prevail and reiterated support for Chairman Wontumi’s campaign efforts.
