MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA – JULY 19: Jordan Ayew of Crystal Palace has words with Fred of Manchester UnitedBrazilian midfielder Fred Rodrigues de Paula Santos believes Ghana’s Black Stars can reach the quarter-final of the World Cup in North America.The Black Stars advanced to the Round of 32 of the tournament after finishing third in Group L with four points, and will now face Colombia on Friday in Kansas City.In a video shared on social media, Fred picked Ghana to beat the South Americans before also predicting the Black Stars will defeat Switzerland and then face Argentina in the quarter-finals.The Black Stars have lost their final group game against Croatia last Saturday in Philadelphia, but the West Africans have proven tough to break, having one of the best defence at the tournament.Meanwhile, their next opponents, Colombia finished top of Group K after collecting seven points in three matches, including holding Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal to a goalless draw.The Black Stars resumed training on Tuesday in Rhode Island and will leave for Kansas City on Wednesday for Friday’s encounter.The Black Stars last reached the quarter-final of the World Cup in 2010 in South Africa.Watch video below:
