Ghanaian actress and movie producer, Kafui Danku has officially joined the opposing NDC Party. The actress who has always been a supporter of John Dramani Mahama unveiled her alliance during the presentation of the NDC manifesto.
Kafui Danku who was reading the manifesto revealed how the NDC was going to transform the creative industry.
According to Kafui Danku, this fund will help support the creative industry in movie production, music, and creative startups.
“For individuals within the creative art industry, President Mahama pledges to usher a vibrant era for music and creative industry emphasising on supporting a unique Ghanaian culture and talents to the global world.”
“A creative arts fund will be instituted to usher sustainable financial support to start ups and exciting creative enterprises,” she said.
She explained that many movie producers have halted production due to the rising cost of producing movies in the country.
Reacting to this, some people quizzed why former football star Asamoah Gyan and actor Prince David Osei were lambasted for supporting the NPP party.
They tagged the critics as hypocrites who only criticize on what favours them.
