
Medeama SC captain Yussif Mubarik has shared his optimism about the teams chances of a strong run in the CAF Champions League.In the preliminary round of the CAF inter-club competition, the Ghana Premier League champions have been drawn against Congolese giants TP Mazembe.Speaking to Medi TV on the opponent, Yussif Mubarik acknowledged the quality of the side, but stressed that he believes the Yellow and Mauves have what it takes to overcome them over the two legs.We know the pedigree of TP Mazembe in the CAF Champions League, so I have encouraged my teammates. We are here for pre-season, so we will continue preparations here and continue when we return home.To me, Im happy we are going to play the CAF Champions League for the first time in Tarkwa. For me, Im confident everything will go well for us because of the support we have from the people of Tarkwa, Mubarik said.The CAF Champions League preliminary stage tie between Medeama SC and TP Mazembe will be played in September, with the first leg scheduled to be played at the TnA Stadium.
