2024 U-20 Women’s World Cup: Black Princesses coach Yusif Basigi grateful to govt and GFA for support

Black Princesses coach, Yussif Basigi has expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Government of Ghana and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for their FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup campaign.

Ghana’s U-20 female national team have been preparing for the tournament which will be held in Colombia.

“The Government and the Ghana Football Association have really supported us right from our camping in Cape Coast,” Basigi told the Ghana FA website.

“We thank them for the support we are receiving because they are here with their representatives to ensure we are well taken care of if we encounter any difficulties or challenges,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Black Princesses will get their tournament underway today when they clash with Austria at the Estadio Metropolitano de Techo with kick-off scheduled at 22:00 GMT.

Yusif Basigi and his charges are targeting qualifying from the group phase for the first time despite making six consecutive appearances at the tournament.
