Samuel Attah Kumi produced a stunning final-day performance, scoring six goals as Bibiani Gold Stars hammered Eleven Wonders 8-3 to close out the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season in spectacular fashion. The striker entered Sunday’s match trailing Bechem United forward Augustine Okrah by two goals in the race for the Golden Boot. With Gold Stars’ title hopes already over following last week’s defeat to Dreams FC, much of the attention at Dun’s Park centred on whether Kumi could mount a late challenge for the award.Few could have predicted what followed.Kumi found the net six times, scoring in the 35th, 38th, 47th, 52nd, 65th and 90+2nd minutes to complete one of the most remarkable individual displays in recent Ghana Premier League history.Okrah did his part by scoring in Bechem United’s 3-2 defeat to Berekum Chelsea, but Kumi’s extraordinary haul saw him surge past his rival to finish the campaign as the league’s top scorer with 18 goals.Razack Sanou and John Arthur Godfred were also on target for Gold Stars, while Abdul Rashid Husseini and Eden Kofi Asamoah, who scored twice, found the net for Eleven Wonders. The result was a fitting end to an impressive campaign for Gold Stars, who had entered the match as overwhelming favourites against an Eleven Wonders side already relegated and on a lengthy winless run. However, the afternoon belonged to Kumi. The forward’s six-goal masterclass not only secured a commanding victory for Gold Stars but also completed a dramatic comeback in the Golden Boot race, denying Okrah on the final day and ensuring his name will be remembered as one of the standout performers of the season.
