Ghana’s national team, the Black Stars, have arrived in Toronto to begin the final phase of preparations for their opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Panama.

The team travelled from their training base in Providence, Rhode Island, on Monday and touched down in the Canadian city hours later ahead of Wednesday’s Group L encounter at BMO Field.

Carlos Queiroz’s men had been camped in Rhode Island since arriving from Virginia on Thursday, using the period to finalize his tactics and game plan and also build momentum ahead of the tournament opener.

The team’s arrival in Toronto marks the beginning of match-week preparations, with players and technical staff now fully focused on securing a positive start to their World Cup campaign.

Ghana are scheduled to hold an official training session at BMO Field on Tuesday, giving the squad an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the stadium before taking on Panama.

The Black Stars will open their Group L campaign against the Central Americans on Wednesday, June 17, as they seek to begin their fifth FIFA World Cup appearance on a winning note.
