Herbert MensahFormer Asante Kotoko chairman, Herbert Mensah, beleives the Black Stars will have a difficult tournament at the upcoming 2026 World Cup.Ghana will make an appearance at the Mundial, which will be hosted across the USA, Canada and Mexico this summer.The four-time African champions will come up against Panama, England and Croatia in Group L.With the technical team charged to guide the team to the semifinals of the tournament, Mr Herbert thinks otherwise, saying the Black Stars will have a tough tournament.The Black Stars have seen this through the history of time, poor administration, and yet the players themselves try their hardest to produce something special,” he told Kumasi-based LUV FM.I think this time it will be a little bit difficult for them. The balance of where they go in terms of the group means that anything is possible,” Mr Mensah added.The Black Stars will begin their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17, before taking on England on June 23 and concluding their group stage against Croatia on June 27.Ahead of the tournament, Carlos Queirozs side will step up preparations with friendly matches against Mexico later this month and Wales on June 2.After back-to-back group phase elimination in 2014 and 2022 in Brazil and Qatar, the Black Stars are aiming to go past the first round.
