21 year old Angela Defa Jacob has been arrested after a senior lecturer at Edo State-owned Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Dr. Matthew Uwuigbe, died on top of her inside the hotel room.
According to reports circulating online, the incident occurred after Uwuigbe allegedly met the young woman at the hotel. He is said to have suddenly become unresponsive after the reported encounter.
The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, and details regarding what may have caused him to collapse have not been independently verified.
The identity and account of the 21-year-old woman have also been mentioned in reports about the incident, although authorities have yet to publicly establish the circumstances leading to the lecturer’s death.
