Following his fantastic performance for the Gunners over the previous two years, Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has signed a new deal with the Premier League side.

The 25-year-old has already made 76 appearances for the North Londoners in all competitions, earning him a spot in England’s team for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar in December.

Ramsdale joined Arsenal from Sheffield United in the summer of 2021 in a deal worth £24m plus a further £6m in add-ons and had an outstanding first season, keeping 14 clean sheets across all competitions, was named Arsenal Player of the Month in both October and November 2021 and earning his senior international debut.

He has manned the post in all of Arsenal’s 36 Premier League matches keeping 13 clean sheets as Arsenal sit second behind Manchester City in the table.

Despite not revealing the length of the deal, manager Arteta was delighted indicating that Rammsdale is part of the club’s long-term plan.

“It’s great that we’re continuing to build our future with our biggest talents in our young squad. We’re all looking forward to enjoying many more years of Aaron the player and the person at the football club.”

Meanwhile, midfielder Granit Xhaka is believed to be on his way to the German Bundesliga.

Arsenal will go all out to play Nottingham Forest to at least keep their title Dreams alive as they trail four points behind the Cityzens.
