Accra Lions tactician Rainer Kraft has reportedly emerged as one of the favorites to land the Asante Kotoko coaching job.The Porcupine Warriors are without a substantive coach following the sacking of Prosper Narteh Ogum, with club legend Abdul Karim Zito currently serving as the interim coach until the end of the season.Ogum was shown the exit door weeks ago after a string of unimpressive performance in the Ghana Premier League.According to reports in the local media, the Porcupine Warriors has targeted Rainer Kraft as one of the candidates for the coach job.The Ghanaian giants are expected to engage Kraft about the coaching job once the season over.Despite battling relegation with three matches to end the season, Accra Lions has showcased glimpses of good performance under the German trainer.The 62-year-old tactician replaced Ibrahim Tanko in January 2025 after the latter departed the club to join fellow Premier League outfit Medeama.While Kotoko sit fourth on the league standings with 54 points, Accra Lions find themselves in the 16th position with 35 points.
