Aduana Stars have threatened to boycott Ghana Premier League after being banned from using Nana Agyemang Badu I Park for their home games.

The ban came after their supporters allegedly attacked Tamale City players and left them injured. Aduana won the controversial match after scoring a penalty in the 10th minute of added time.

Tamale City players suffered injuries from being allegedly pelted with stones and their bus was also damaged.

The Ghana Football Association quickly responded by issuing a ban on the stadium, barely 24 hours after the incident. However, this could potentially affect Aduana’s chances of winning the league as they only have a three-point advantage on top of the league.

Public Relations Officer, Evans Oppong, expressed the club’s dissatisfaction with the decision in an interview with Luv FM.

He said, “How can you ban a club for an action that was done outside the stadium? As a club, our legal team is studying the matter for us to know the next action we are going to take.

“So far as we are concerned, there could be a lot of action that we take. One of them is to boycott the league or drop from the league.”
