Ghana international Osman Bukari has completed a return to Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade after joining the club on a one-year loan deal with an option to make the move permanent.

The 27-year-old winger returns to Belgrade just a year after leaving for Polish side Widzew Łódź, where he continued his career following his successful spell in Serbia.

Bukari previously spent two seasons at Red Star between 2022 and 2024, establishing himself as one of the club’s key attacking players while also featuring regularly in the UEFA Champions League.

His performances during that period earned him admiration from the club’s supporters, making his return a welcome boost as Red Star prepare for the new season.

Reacting to his return to the Rajko Mitic Stadium, the versatile wideman says he is happy with the return and ever ready to continue from where he left off

“Back home. Once a Red, always a Red. Let’s create memories together again. Alhamdulillah for everything,” Bukari wrote on X.

The Ghanaian has enjoyed a well-travelled career, having previously represented Belgian side Gent, French outfit FC Nantes and Major League Soccer club Austin FC before returning to Serbia.

Bukari will now be aiming to rediscover the form that made him a fan favourite during his first spell at Red Star as the club targets domestic success and another strong campaign in European competition.
