Ghanaian music executive, youth leader, and creative industry strategist David Ashbel has announced the final funeral arrangements for his late mother, Deaconess Esther Alexis Frimpong-Manso (née Anim), whose passing occurred on February 24, 2026, at age 72.

The family will hold her final funeral rites on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Lashibi Funeral Homes and Crematorium, beginning at 9:00am, followed by a private interment the same day.

A thanksgiving service in celebration of her life will take place on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at The Apostolic Church Ghana, Bethel Assembly, Dansoman, from 9:00am to 11:00am, after which family, friends, and sympathizers will gather at the family residence at Hse. No. 8 Sheikh Tetteh Link, Dansoman-Control for the final funeral rites.

The family has indicated that there will be no wake-keeping, and all well-wishers are respectfully invited to join them in honouring a life remembered for devotion to faith, service to the church, and deep commitment to family and community.

Deaconess Esther Alexis Frimpong-Manso is remembered as a strong Christian mother whose influence helped shape David Ashbel’s spiritual foundation and leadership journey, including his work supporting young creatives through River Oaks Records and youth empowerment initiatives such as the 7 Initiative.

As preparations continue toward the final funeral rites, the family expresses gratitude for the prayers, support, and solidarity received from friends, colleagues, and the wider community during this season of remembrance.
