ChillyWay, also known as Michael Adofo, is a brand-new wonder child who is poised to rock the music industry with his innovative sound and melodies. The family of the Ghanaian native helped him discover his love of music. He claimed that their daily religious routine included music. Since then, he has been following in the footsteps of many greats.
I must admit that after ChillyWay gave us some context for his most recent song: ‘Deep’, I was in a very emotional place. The fresh face described ‘Deep’ as an African sound falling under the self-created Afro-Hip genre. Finally, a song that wasn’t about chopping breakfast, he said, adding that the song was a confession of love and affection. Amen!
The young star revealed that although he was not signed to a label, FT Entertainment, which is run by Mr. Abubakar Abdalla and Mr. Sunday Chuks Asemota (Sonny Chuks) supported him.
When we inquired about some of his previous collaborations, our wonder boy mentioned acts like Sarkodie, Chase, and Jayso as acts he had the honour to work with. That has, in my opinion, guaranteed his place in history.
He also discussed how he won over audiences around the world, primarily in Europe, Asia, and of course, Africa. He explained that his management was a foreign-based company with years of working experience in Europe and Asia, and as a result, they were able to promote his craft and win over fans around the world.
He alluded to an album being in the works when asked if he had any significant projects forthcoming. He said that the sound of his upcoming works will convey rhythm, a variety of melodies, and a display of lyricism that affects people all over the world. He also made reference to a world tour that would follow the release of a sizable number of projects by him and his management.
He also emphasised that he intends to expand the audience for his distinctive music around the world through the popularity of his music in the global market.
So hopefully, ChillyWay will soon be heard everywhere on the planet. When asked about future collaborations, he mentioned Lil Wayne, Drake, R2Bees, and many other artists. We’ll be keeping our eyes and ears on the ground in anticipation of his new works and captivating sound.
