Black Stars captain Andre Ayew has been voted Le Havre player of the month for February. The 34-year-old midfielder has been in sparkling form since returning from the African Cup of Nations with Ghana.

Ayew joined the Ligue 1 side from Nottingham Forest in the 2023/2024 season to continue his improvement as he gradually gears towards the end of his career. Since joining Le Havre, the midfielder has been putting up some impressive numbers.

Andre Ayew has scored two goals in nine matches for the Ligue 1 side. All two goals came after a disappointing performance with the Black Stars at the African Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.

His spectacular overhead kick against Lorient last month rescued a point for his side with a 3-3 draw, which saw him win Goal of the Month in Ligue 1 in January with that goal.

Although Le Havre had a poor run of form in February, Ayew made sure his efforts for his team counted by being the standout player for the month of February.

“He was the author of some great performances; you elected André Ayew player of the month for February!” the club announced on X.
