Anthony BaffoeFormer Ghana international Anthony Baffoe has admitted he currently lacks the drive to contest for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidency but has not ruled out the possibility of a future bid.The 61-year-old has been tipped as a potential contender in the 2027 GFA presidential elections, but says the position does not appeal to him at this stage.I have said no on multiple occasions, Baffoe told 3Sports.It does not drive me, but I don’t know what is going to happen in six months, or twelve or twenty-four months. For now, I dont see myself there, but you never know tomorrow, he added.Born in Germany, Baffoe represented Ghana between 1991 and 1994 before moving into football administration. He later held senior positions at the Confederation of African Football (CAF), including Deputy Secretary General for Football and Development. His experience in football administration has fuelled speculation about a possible move into GFA leadership, with the association expected to hold its presidential elections in 2027.However, Baffoes latest comments suggest he is not actively considering a challenge to incumbent president Kurt Okraku, who has led the association since 2019.While ruling out an immediate bid, Baffoe has left the door open for a change of heart in the coming months.
