ASA Savings and Loans has donated a range of medical equipment and supplies to the Suntreso Government Hospital in Kumasi as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts aimed at supporting quality healthcare delivery.
The items presented included hospital beds, mattresses, wheelchairs, screens, thermometers, bedside tables and bedsheets, among other essential medical supplies.
Presenting the items on behalf of the company, Corporate Social Responsibility/Sustainability Officer, Lily Opoku Mensah, together with Bantama Business Centre Manager, Andrew Sey, said the donation forms part of the institution’s commitment to giving back to communities and supporting critical sectors such as health.
Ms. Opoku Mensah noted that healthcare facilities play a vital role in improving the well-being of citizens and their clients; therefore, they require support from corporate institutions to enhance service delivery.
“ASA Savings and Loans remains committed to contributing to national development through interventions that directly impact the lives of individuals and communities. The donation is expected to improve patient care and ease some of the logistical challenges faced by the hospital in delivering quality healthcare services,” she said.

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, the Administrator of Suntreso Government Hospital, Alex Abugri, expressed appreciation to ASA Savings and Loans for the support, describing the donation as timely and one that would greatly enhance healthcare delivery at the facility.
He noted that the donated equipment was exactly what the hospital needed and would significantly improve healthcare delivery while enhancing the comfort of patients receiving treatment at the facility.
Mr. Abugri appealed to other corporate organisations and philanthropic institutions to emulate the example of ASA Savings and Loans by supporting health facilities with equipment and other resources needed to enhance healthcare services.
He emphasised that partnerships between the private sector and healthcare institutions are essential to strengthening the country’s healthcare system and improving patient outcomes.
