Legendary Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has for the first time revealed how he was sat down by former Ghana President John Kufuor when he decided to quit playing for the Black Stars during the 2008 AFCON tournament.
Gyan, then 22, was subjected to abuse from home fans after missing chances in games while playing for the Black Stars during the tournament.
The unbearable situation got the forward to decide to leave the Ghana camp with the President of the land stepping in.
